Christmas Eve comes to the Metro Zoo,
And there’s a man with a long, white beard
With a jolly laugh, he gives out the invitations,
As the Lions and the Tigers cheer!
Hyenas giggling, The Snakes are wriggling,
See the Hippopotamus spin,
Crocs bring a party tray, Hear the Zebra say,
“Now, let the party begin!”
Sleigh bells ringing, Everybody swingin’,
They’re rockin’ around the clock
Hippin’ & a-hoppin’, Dancin’ & a-prancin’,
(They’re) groovin’ to the Jingle Zoo Rock!

Crash, Boom, Bang, The Orangutang,
Is drumming to a jungle beat
The Hippo is playing the air guitar,
See the Rhinos, How they move their feet!
Golden-bellied Mangabey,
Swingin’ with the Chimpanzee,
Raising such a hullabaloo!
Cheetahs dance a tango, In the twirling snow,
There’s a party at the Metro Zoo!
Sleigh bells ringing, Everybody swingin’,
They’re rockin’ around the clock
Hippin’ & a-hoppin’, Dancin’ & a-prancin’,
(They’re) groovin’ to the Jingle Zoo Rock!

Rattlesnake shakes out a sassy rhythm,
To a smoothe bossa nova tune
Ring-tailed Lemur hops up on the stage,
Man, You should have heard her croon!
Thick-billed parrots squawk,
They are making small talk,
With the red-tailed Kangaroo,
Hornbills share a mango, ‘Neath the mistletoe,
What a party at the Metro Zoo!
